A Book I like To Read

The Lion's Dinner

This week I have been reading Joy Cowley books.The book I like is called The Lion's Dinner. Its amazing when the lion jumps high into the sky over the wire fence. All the people run back into the hotel. Since the lion was getting old he wanted to be under his shady tree out in the wild but he was trap in a zoo. He was tired of people taking photos of him so he got out of his pen and went into the hotel freezer and  got lots of meat. 

Matawai Action Selfie

Today I was learning action with our photos.

I enjoyed when I got to chose a photo.
I found it challenging to take the selfie.
My digital learning object shows that I  can add a background.
Next time I would change the action.

Amelia Earhart

She whooshed like a shooting star across the angry sea.
Racing fast like lighting.
The wind blowing like a flag in the dark night.
Big grey clouds like a fluffy sheep.
Sun shining like a glow.
Flying above the tiny city.
Flying across the lumpy clouds.
It was a deadly adventure.
Trying to keep awake for big storms.
Drinking tomato juice all the way.

Winter Poem

Today I was learning to make a winter poem and use screencastify.
I enjoyed when I got to make my video.
I found it challenging to get my video onto my blog.
My digital learning object shows to use screencastify and making a poem.
Next time I would change the words and try and finish my work. 

Planting Garlic

Garlic
First we roughed the soil until it was flat.Then we cracked the garlic to get the cloves.
We planted the cloves. We had to dig 5 cms deep and plant the cloves 5 cm apart. We jumped the stones to poke a hole for each clove. Planting garlic for Matariki is fun to do.

 

Chameleons

Chameleons are reptiles.
They live in South America in the rain forest.
I like their long tail and the way they change colour.

2019 About Me

I’m in year four at Matawai School. l I am in room 3.
I like to play football with my friends.Hi my name is Georgia. I live with my Mum, my Dad and my big brother
I’m good at maths. I know my times tables. I enjoy poetry when we get to draw. I am trying to make my maths better. To make my work better I need to spell my words right.

I am excited about going to The Gisborne Ukulele Underground Show later in June. I am playing there.
